Guys

 

My recline mechanism has busted on the drivers seat and I need to replace the thing. Its actually broken and wont hold position making the car un-drivable.

 

Ive looked at replacing the base using parts and its prohibitively expensive..........so I'm after a 2011 part leather, standard VRS seat or I'm even open to replacing the whole interior with some leather :-)

 

Any ideas?

Ideas? Scout on ebay for a Golf MkV or a Leon or Audi A3 seat if it's urgent.

Yep, that's a possibility, but Id rather do the job once if at all possible :-) Also, if Im going to spend £xx on a old seat, and then have to replace that again when the correct Skoda one comes along, its almost throwing good money away......

Can anybody give me a de-facto answer; as per Lee01's suggestion above, there seems to be a lot of complete Golf and A3 interiors available. Now bear in mind my vehicle is 2011 and hasn't been abused, I don't want to fit some shonky old interior. I also don't want to fit a single seat or a pair of front seats if they are different from the existing rear. Does a Golf rear seat fit an Octy directly with no issues? Same question in respect of an A3?
