Alarm

Featured Replies

Hi my alarm went off last night, key fobs didn't work but managed to get into car using key in lock and turned ignition key and alarm went off. This morning neither key fob is working and car won't start, not a sign of life. Can anyone tell me why and what I need to do. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I would think open the bonnet and fit a new car battery, but first check the terminals tightness, then have someone check the battery's condition.

Was a light left on someplace, glove compartment or boot,

or is the battery just old enough to need replacing?

Sounds like a shot battery to me! My mums car alarm kept going off when her battery was coming to the end if it's life.

Also when you press a button on your key fob a small red light in the top right of the remote will blink, check that to make sure that your key fob is also working.
