My remote central locking had never worked , ive tried many times to pair new keys. The central locking works from the drivers door and the boot. i have located the ccm part no 1c0959799 under the dash behind the headlight switch. what i dont understand is if i unplug the control unit the central locking still works from the door, boot and the switch on the inside drivers door. the electric windows still work. im assuming there is a separate control unit but i can only find reference to one under the passenger seat ive got the seat out but no sign of a unit under the carpet. the car is 2002 octavia 4x4 elegance

Have you check for a split wire in your drivers door loom or a rusty pin in your window motor 

 

sounds daft but that was my issue
