Greenlight don't insure Fabias anymore

Featured Replies

With a green card

I didn't think Green cards were used these days? My chris Knott policy is written in foreign at the bottom...

LOL just noticed this thread.

Mea culpa, I own up, it's all my fault... Started an insurance with them and 4 months later, made a total loss claim. Now have the "mini-mongrel" insured with them and it ain't cheap, but they were the only ones who would insure me with the ol' Clarkemobile...

What will be amusing is when my renewal comes up, as I'm still insured via them. However, I'm a little confused, because AFAIK, Greenlight is just the intermediary broker, not the insurance policy provider per se.

My policy is with Highway Insurance, which was obtained via Greenlight...

My policy is with Highway Insurance,

thats who my chris knott policy is with.

I went with Chris Knott in the end, thanks for the advice guys. Interestingly the policy is with 'Highways' also. £450 with remap (27 9yrs NCD) which I'm really pleased with as aside from Adrian Flux no-one else wanted to insure me.

All fully comp policy's include this, its an EU requirment.

Agreed but Direct Line, our previous insurer charge what I guess is an admin fee every time they issue it so get a few quid back that way

Its getting harder to get insurance for modded cars in general - all the usual suspects let me down this time, Chris Knott being the only one to come good. I wanted to cancel my Direct Line insurance, but they put up such a fuss and asked for a cancelation fee, so I decided to let this policy expire and then go with CK. A Flux gave me a laughable quote of nearly £900 on the standard VRS - i've got 4 yrs NCD, no accidents, no points and live in a rural area - FFS. Whats going on?

Then again, i met a bloke at JBS last friday who had stacked 2 Fab VTS' with Greenlight - total loss - maybe hes to blame :)
