Rear noise

Featured Replies

Hi I am sorry if this problem has been reported before

My yeti is a black edition 2014 .I am getting a noise from the rear N/S when I go along the road it doesn't have to be a big pothole .it's quite a bang as if its the shock loose I have had it up on a ramp and can't see any movement in the springs or mounts .I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this .As I said it sounds like its from the N/S/R and its quite a bang

Thanks

Tailgate needing adjustment?

Broken spring?........apparently not all that obvious to see on inspection.

Check for a broken rear spring, just over one turn up from the bottom.

Cheers I will check again I have had it on a 4post ramp but it may have broken and reseated itself .it's a hell of a bang as if its  the shock mount but it all looks ok .I did see the tailgate adjustment but as well as the noise it is really hard on the N/S/R

You can loose part of the spring and it is not too obvious. My wifes first fabia broke a front spring on a pothole and she noticed the piece flying out. Stopped and brought it open to ask if it was important!

About 2/3 of a ring and the remainder reseated itself and it was not obviously broken
