Rust Coloured Spots on Alloys

Featured Replies

Have a Monte Estate with the black twist alloys over recent weeks after washing I have noticed small rust coloured spots on the alloys, have tried using a fallout remover with no joy I only ever clean the car myself and only use acid free cleaners. Would put pics up but can't really get a good enough picture

So the fallout will be from the brake pad material or the discs, oddly discs seem to wear more than pads now.

Best get what you can off the wheels and then try good protection on them.

Styling / cleaning / detailing section is full of advice on products.

If the fallout remover isn't touching it try claying the areas. Hopefully that will remove the marks.

I've got a question.. did the fallout cause this ? I've just bought some fallout and worried about using this on my wheels

Did you try agitating the fallout remover once you sprayed it on? If not then give it another go and agitate it with a small detailing brush

Fallout remover is perfectly safe to use on wheels, paintwork even glass :)

just make sure you don't let it dry on the car and properly rinse it off once it's changed colour

Sorry not posted back for a while appreciate the replies, I did try agitating the fallout remover to no avail, next step is to try clay. Waiting for weather to pick up as I'm going to remove the wheels for proper clean and protect. Will report back, but if no joy a trip to the dealer is on the cards!

hope you get it sorted daz !!!
