  1. Congratulations on the birth of your son! This happened to my wife when she took the Fabia to work a couple of weeks ago, minus the burning smell. The light would go off after restarting the engine but come back on soon after. Skoda dealer advised the car must not be driven except to the garage. Once there they found the turbo pressure sensor had failed which was replaced under warranty. Although i I believe the epc light relates to lots of systems affecting the running of the engine so could mean something totally different in your case so definitely worth getting a diagnostic on it to check the codes. Agree on on the car seat front too, the only way ours fits in is with the passenger seat moved forward slightly. So we’ve been looking at a Karoq!
  2. It could be due to deposit contributions from Skoda/ Dealers. For example, if there is a deposit contribution of £1500 then this would allow them to clear the £1400 you owe to allow you to change the car.
  3. If the fallout remover isn't touching it try claying the areas. Hopefully that will remove the marks.
  4. Autoglym is great stuff. It tends to just get looked over for things with more bells and whistles but it does the job and leaves a great finish. The wheel cleaner is acid based though so as Karl says just be careful with it and you'll be fine.
  5. The 312 certainly feels a lot better quality than the older 302 and haven't seen any issues with them such as dead batteries out the box that were common to 402's etc. Can't really comment on the long term durability of the battery but I've sold a lot through work and had none back with any issues.
  6. Have a look at gtechniq C4 Trim restorer. It's great stuff and will keep trim looking good for ages. There's a few videos on youtube of it in action. Downside is that it's not the cheapest but it's worth every penny.
  7. Fitting a dashcam shouldn't be a problem. The dealer would have to prove that fitting a dashcam has directly caused the fault in order to say that the warranty is void. If you have a look at this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/400683-dashcam-wiring-nextbase-kit/ There is a guide on how to fit one. If you'd prefer someone to do it for you then don't worry about going to Halfords, every store has a fully qualified IMI technology installer who has attended accredited training courses in order to become qualified to fit into customers cars. Some people just look down their nose at them. If you do go the Halfords route then the 312gw is good. 1080p recording, wifi for viewing on your phone and it's a nice looking unit. If you go further up the range you get better picture quality and better night recording but lose the wifi. There's dashcams on Amazon and eBay etc but the cheaper ones do feel and look cheap, instructions and menus tend to be in Chinese English too so not very user friendly. Hope that helps.
  8. I downloaded it but since I live in the sticks it was always Ratata and Weedles around so I gave up and deleted it. Game developers could make a fortune if they copied it.....
  9. Yeah what forge said. Took me ages to find it too as I kept looking in the glovebox from the drivers side......
  10. Very nice! Good colour choice too, happy driving!
  11. As title says really. Some good prices. HD wax £38, 1 litre of SRP £13.
  12. H&R and Eibach both make sports springs for the mk3 fabia. They'll be stuffer and lower the car so will feel a lot better through corners. If you go to their respective websites and use the application finders then you'll get part numbers. I've found them online for £130 - £150. I believe the springs Skoda sell are actually made by Eibach too.
  13. I think there would be a bit of leeway for fitting a dashcam, it's easily removed after all and is safety oriented. Usually the warranty would only come in to question if it could be directly proven that fitting a dashcam via the fuse box has caused the problem i.e it won't void the entire warranty on the car.
