Has anyone experience of selling a private registration? I've removed a reg from my Octavia (long story!) and it's now on retention. I'd be grateful for comments from anyone who has actually sold a registration.

I sold one a few years ago. First I tried car club magazines (it was an MG related plate) that brought some interest but no sale. I later contacted Elite Registrations who offered me a price to buy it outright for their stock and a price to sell it on my behalf. I took the route of selling to them, it was a fair price and more than I had paid for it. Interestingly it sold quickly on their site. Maybe people are more willing to buy registrations from a dealer than a private sale?
