DPF ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Could anyone tell me for sure if an Octavia I have my eye on has a dpf or not, its an April 2007/1.9tdi pd / 138 g/km, ambiente/hatchback.

Thanks.

It doesn't, no uk 1.9 octavia engines had dpf's.

Nope. There's none. :)

I thought the late pre face lift Scouts had a 1.9 PD engine and dpf?

I believe that DPF's were actually an option for some later 1.9 TDI Pd's.

If you can get a picture of the sticker on the boot floor with all of the option codes and dig around with them it would be confirmed if it had one or not.

Why anyone would actually opt to "have" a DPF would be beyond me, so I would say its probable that it hasnt got one.

Nope, all pre face lift scouts had the 2.0 PD engine with DPF. Petrol were 2.0 normally aspirated or later the 1.8 tsi and diesel had the 2.0 PD followed by 2.0 cr on face lifts. The 4x4 had the 1.9 PD but never a DPF, this was followed by a 1.6 cr or 2.0 cr on the face lift, both with a DPF. Only Octavias with DPF on PD engines were 2.0 in VRS, scout and 4x4, all cr's have a DPF. I believe some Audi/VW with 1.9 may have had a DPF but not Skoda.

Maybe in Audi/VW but never in uk Skoda's

Thanks to everyone, I dont know how true this is, but I read somewhere that if the Octavia Exhaust tail pipes point downwards,...no DPF (1.9).

and if they point straight out,...DPF, (2.0) ?

Cheers everybody.
