Rear wiper gremlins?

Featured Replies

Strangeness with my rear wiper.

At rest it parks at the '3 o clock' position.

However sometimes activating a rear wipe, it'll go to the 9 o clock position, then to about the 10 o clock position then stop.

After a few seconds, or reactivating the rear wiper it'll continue to 3 o clock.

Other times it'll do a full 3-9-3 wipe.

Is this normal?

Never seen mine do that! Sounds like abnormal behavior to me.

It hasn't done it at all this week - 3 - 9 - 3 o clock rear wipe as expected like our Leon does, I wasn't sure if it was a quirk like the way it sometimes parks the front wipers in a different position?

Perhaps if the front wipers were in intermittent it did the 3-9-10-stop-3 o clock movement or the like?

Maybe getting it washed at the weekend dislodged something that was preventing full return movement? (But then it always returned if you selected rear wipe again or left it for a few seconds, which made me wonder if it was part of the intermittent wipe?)

Thanks
