i remember back in the day with the early bolero that there was a folder limit of 2gb or it caused a few issues 

 

is the same valid now via amundsen and the usb port on a MY16 Fabia 3

 

reason i ask i am debating changing the layout of music and having one giant list of files on the root of the drive (about 6000) and just sticking it on random 

currently its in 8 folders in track name order 

a-e

f-k etc etc

hmm not sure about folder limit but i have like 20GB in total under differen folders.

 

Remeber if you want to shuffle  it will shuffle in that current folder and sub folders.

what i made for exampla i put all Hip-Hop/Rap in to 1 folder,  ROCK in to other and then oThers that my wife is listening.

Then in each that folder i have 1 separate mp3 file loose and then rest in sub folders per band and agin 1 loos mp3 file per band so runing that fille it will shuffle entire folder and sub folders.

Thanks i was wanting to place all in the root of the drive ie no folders want sure if it glitches out at a certain size like the early boleros

 

Originally it was set up with one file in the root of the drive and everything else in folders it plays the root file first i press random  it would then play 5-6 tracks out of each dder before moving on the next 

 

Thinking about it is a rather dumb question may as well leave things as they are
