Nissan Solution for Xtrail extended family -dogs

I saw the video on FB. Some clever ideas. Can't see too many making it into production.

Sometimes a great idea is just ruined byt eh manufacturer being too greedy with the option prices. The ramp is probably the most basic thing here that people with large dogs might be interested in (big dogs can hurt themselves jumping in and out of cars) but I's think they'll charge hundreds for what is effectively a plank. Or it'll only come as part of the 'doggie pack' for £2k.

Probably agree with most of what you say but thought in principle that other car manufacturers could develop systems themselves i.e Skoda Yeti,VAG MPVs, 4X4s ,next models as loads of country owners around me would pay for a good packaged system

Maybe, I don't know that market. I do know people with big dogs and they all have ramps/planks for getting their beasts in and out.

Having something neat and built in would appeal. As would the dog hairdryer. But they'd probably want the boot to be a sealed container with a vent for it rather than filling the car with damp dog smell.

I always thought that Dacia missed a trick by not fitting the Duster with an interior that could be power washed. Plenty dog owners and parents of sticky kids would love that.

The Shower and the lay me down ramp are really really good for many outdoor pursuits that might include watersports, dogging etc.

I already posted google image pictures (of the drawers/ hatches) in the Yeti Section in a Yeti Replacement thread, just of the equipment Nissan had in their Concept.

That seemed the natural home for this type of accessories including the screen in the rear compartment for any additional educational videos.

Shower, Wet Wipes, Werther's Original, & plenty room for a portaloo / potty / bedpan etc.

The Dog badge might become like the Fish badge, people will have ones facing in one direction or another.
