Cluster does not indicate boot lid open/closed

Hi,

The instrument cluster (maxidot) indicates whenever the boot (or any of the door or bonnet) is opened and closed.  However, I've observed recently that this is not the case when the boot is opened or closed.  The maxidot indicates the boot portion of the car as blinking opaque (instead of steady opaque)when opened and while it indicates the boot portion as black color when closed, which is normal.  However, for the last two days, the maxidot does not indicate any change when the boot is opened or closed.  It simply shows the picture of the car as if all the doors are in the closed position.

Please guide me on the troubleshooting steps.
