Apparently the energy for propulsion comes from  battery/small petrol engine, but not a hybrid drive as the petrol engine is restricted to occasionally re-charging the battery.

 

So that's a Chinese motor company building and distributing Worldwide a design type that was once heavily poo-pooed by JC in Top Gear i.e. the "Quantum Thrust". I wonder who knows best ?

The Company that hired Stefan Jacoby in 2010 as he resigned from VW as the CEO in the US to go head Volvo.

  Small world, so why are VW so slow on getting good EV's produced.

Like the plant. Big difference from the old place I knew a lot of years ago when the firm I worked for had the contract for moving phones around the site, and I was the engineer the firms rep asked for .

Phrase like"Satanic mills " comes to mind.
