I want to upgrade the speakers in my Fabia vRS but the magnets will hit the window going down. Any advice?

Mine were riveted in too!

Very tight for space behind the speaker. Maybe you could make some custom mounts or something?

I was thinking of that, but my dealer reckons that you can buy speakers with thinner magnets, if i find out what they are i'll post them on the site somewhere

I bought some Focal speakers for the front of my Fab, but they won't fit without mods to the door card.

Probably wont bother now as the new one is on order.

and I'm still trying to figure out how to take the door trim off to gain access.

Has anyone taken off the tweeter cover (wing mirror)? If so, how did you do that?

it just pulls forward with a little wiggling sorry to be so specific (the wing mirror tweeter cover that is)

Door trim- 3 screws along bottom and two behind grab handle. It then pops off with clips with a few pulls.

Tweeter - prizes off rairly easily and its just clipped in.

most importantly take it all carefully as the clips can be very fragile

- I'd better steer clear of doing any door trim removal then! - "carefully" - not in the Jason Oxford Dictionary.

( Although the vent came out and went back in without damaging the dash or clips. )

just break out the oxy-acetelene jason you will be fine!!!
