Files on a USB Flash Drive

Featured Replies

We've recently picked up my Wife's new (to us) '65 Plate Polo GTI, with a Composition head unit (I think that's the one anyway!).

Via the USB it picks up my iPod Nano 6 fine, albeit the music can jump and skip a bit.

So I got a 16Gb Sandisk flash drive and copied all my iTunes on to it.  While it picks up the music and a fair number of the artworks, the music is by track only, which is a bit irritating as it prevents us from listening to one artist or album.  I've tried copying CD's direct to the Flash drive, but even that makes no difference, apart from each track is 30+Mb large (sound good though!).

I can't work out what I'm doing wrong, and am really scratching my head.  Am I expecting too much to be able to select by artist or album with a USB flash drive. I suppose it might be simpler to just get another iPod or mp3 player?

Any advice gratefully received.
