Superb bought!

Featured Replies

Hi I'm new to the forum but already finding the articles useful.

I will pick up a 2014 Skoda Superb Estate next week- my first Skoda! After making the decision yesterday I am worrying that I should have gone for the Octavia Scout which was my close second choice. I want load space but use the car to go skiing 2 or 3 times a year. It's a replacement for a Discovery 3 which has a huge load space but I'm hoping winter tyres will cope with the mountain parts of the trip. All the native drivers seem to cope OK!

Welcome to the world of Skoda! You will find this forum very helpful and informative.

Hello David welcome along to the Skoda Forum good to have you with .us :)

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the new Superb :).  A good set of winter tyres will go a long way and are even more important than having the 4x4 system.

Thanks! I think I can get a set of 16" alloys with winter tyres from mrwinterwheels.co.uk for under £500.Are you happy with your Superb?

Very happy.  Its my third Superb and I've been driving Skodas for the past 16 years so I know the brand quite well at this stage.  Although mine is the newer Superb, I've had two other MKIIs previously, a 2011 and 2014, both 170bhp and they were great cars.  I know you were looking at a Scout as well and although the Octavia is really good, the Superb is a more refined and comfortable car overall and I think you've made the right decision going with it.
