Drivers door red light not blinking (Fabia 1)

Featured Replies

Haven't had chance to hook up VCDS yet, but are there any common reasons for the door LED not blinking?

Car acquired with 2 keys, but these are just standard keys. Not remote unlocking. Assume this is correct for the 1 spec level?

Mine was not blinking, took the door card off and it was not plugged in. Plugged it in and it worked.

Can only assume previous owner had door card off and forgot to plug it back in.

Is it easy enough to get the door card off to check?

Pretty simple to do. I will check mine tomorrow to let you know where the screws are.

Managed to find a connector, was under a foam sleeve. Everything connected.

Vcds reported a few low voltage errors on central convenience, and a one wire low voltage?

Central locking is working with the key.

Doesn't seem to have an alarm installed looking at the appropriate fuse location which has nothing installed (fuse or connections).

So is this then correct, or should the led still function on the base 1 model? I assume if it should/did it'd be to indicate the immobiliser is active?

Mine stopped blinking after I changed the head unit, Guessed they were connected somehow........If they're not ill wip my door cards off on the weekend

Funny you say that, before doing anything I did see a K line error on VCDS

So does that mean something is fried?

Could be a simple bulb/led failure of course! My led flashes as if to inform others of the immobiliser. No alarm fitted.
