This was zeroed at full (at garage) and checked against the fill at the mileage shown................it actually did only 57mpg

That's respectable for a diesel depending where and how driven. You have a Greenlone though right. Expecting a lot more ?

That 216 miles was Cannock - Aberyswyth and back, no useage whilst there, steady running, no town or thrashing it, not a Greenline

 

Had a genuine 64mpg off it 2 years ago on its 1st week of ownership (from new) down to somerset an back

 

I do 600+ miles mon-friday school weeks and always use almost the exact same amount of fuel

Its the error margin between the MFD and real mpg thats annoying

Is it the error margin you have had for 2 years or has it now become worse for some reason?

The MFD just makes it up on all my 3 Skoda's. But consistently the same. 

I wonder if a new battery or reset/service has changed the behaviour of the MFD?

 

if it's actually reduced maybe an issue with Fuel filter or air filter etc ?

On mine the MFD is suprisingly accurate

 

Saying that nowhere near any of your figures - but mine does drink from the other pump

 

 

 

On my Superb I the MFD was pessimistic which I'm sure had got worse over the years

I wonder if the pending tyre change has much effect? im on 62,000 miles 1st set got to 31,000

I've just had some Michelin Cross climates fitted - I wonder if they will affect my economy?
