Hi. I have a Mk3 L&K Superb. I understand that not all the seats are real leather. I want to purchase the Gliptone cleaner and conditioner because people highly recommend them and the conditioner makes the seats smell like leather again.

 

Will this be ok to use? It does say NOT FOR USE ON ANILINE, SUEDE AND NUBUCK LEATHER.

 

I was thinking about the gentle cleaner instead of the intensive.

Gliptone is a great product - both the cleaner and conditioner. 

 

I've used on my leather seats in the S3 without an issue.

Good product and a lovely smell as well.

 

Applied this today and the smell of the conditioner is not what I was expecting. Was expecting a nice leather smell but instead it smells a bit chemically. After all the rave reviews I am not sure I would buy it again :-(

Conditioning modern sealed leather is counter productive as the conditioner sits on the surface attracting dirt.

 

You are much better off cleaning leather and applying a protection product like Dr Leather Dye Block or similar from LTT.
