Another tuned Skoda. Runs great!

Featured Replies

Well I took a chance and called a "local" tuning specialist. Ended up his shop was 3 hours drive away. But he recommended to me a shop only minutes from my house. Said that he actually writes the custom tuning programs using his shop dyno and sends those tunes out to his partner shops for install in a slightly de-tuned program. That way he can be sure they run safely on any healthy vehicle without the requirement of a dyno.

I called and got a 3 hour spot and had the Superb tuned using higher grade 95 gas. (Being a short distance city driver I use only Shell V power or the like anyways). Very professional shop with what seemed to be competent programmers.

After 2 days I can assure you the engine runs ALOT smoother. Revs way smoother than before and in a linear path which is easier to drive. Power is definitely increased throughout the entire power band. It takes a short second for the turbo to get spinning (as it has always been), but then a very nice wave of power kicks in smoothly all the way up to 5,000 rpms. Haven't pushed over that as I'm still trying to feel out the motor and all just to be cautious.

But all in all it was a super good experience and a equally nice result.
