  1. Thanks for the help both of you. I am looking at 245/30/20 tires. The 35 series would be way too big to fit. Lol. Although I’d like to. The wheel wells on these Superbs are simply too small in comparison to the size of the vehicle. Audi did a better job and fitting the 2 together. I really want the 20s because I feel like the 19s get swallowed up by the fenders. It didn’t help at the 19s I used last summer are only 8” wide and 45 offset. Makes them very flat on the face of the whee. Not exactly the concave I was hoping for. The joys of internet ordering. Lol So this time around I want to get it right and not want to try again next year. Hence I’m taking my time and really thinking about it. But the sale on the wheels I’m looking at will of course end at some point. So I can’t wait forever. As far as the Speedo etc, I’m not really worried about it. Driven many lifted trucks in my life where all of the electronics were way off from very big tires. But I dont want that damned tire pressure warning light going off every day. Can you run a 245/35/19 on the front and a 255/35/19 on the rear???? It’s just under 1% difference. Joe
  2. The total set is £1500. Mounted and balanced for the 20s. It’ll be a little cheaper for the 19s. But the price different is t that great. Its more the practical side of driving around w a 30 series tire. After the Bilstein 30mm suspension drop, the car rides a good bit more stuff which I am very happy about. But I don’t want it to become teeth shattering going from a 35 to a 30 tire.

  5. I just had my 12’ Superb dropped 30mm with the Eibach Pro Kit. Went in easily w no issues. Drives so much better now. But summer is around the corner and I’m thinking wheels. Been bouncing around for some 19” Cades Apollo (sold out until May ish) and some Veemann 19x8.5 et45 on my existing 245/35/19 Rainsports. Or Ispiri 20x8.5 ET42 with 245/30/20s probably from kumho or Falken. My 19s from last year just look so small on this big ole Superb. And that’s kind of pushed me to the 20s. Searched a lot on the inter-web and I’m really liking the 20s and Superbs out there. Other than the initial price, is living with 20 inch wheels a real PITA? 30 series tire. More weight. ????? Im really struggling with this one here. I love the Veemann wheels I found but the ET doesn’t match in 20s. Scared the 19s would just be a repeat of the unsatifsfaction I had last summer with the Caliber 19x8 I currently have. But that 245/30 tire is pretty stiff. Thanks for the help. Joe
  6. I’ve been doing a bunch of measuring and checking, and measuring etc etc I have worked out that I can just get by w a 19x8.5 ET 40 on the front w a 245/35. I might have to heat up and indent a little plastic here or there (at full turn I’m looking at 3mm clearance at some points. But I believe it’ll work out. The rear is alittle different due due to no turning necessary. I’ll either match the fronts exactly. (The safe boring thing to do). Or I’ll take a chance w a 19x9,5 ET 45. Really give it that heavy back end look. I’m fairly certain the suspension don’t flex so much in the rear due to the new B12 lowering kit I just did. Figment wise it’ll go. Im just not sure I like the 245 on a 9.5” wheel. So 2 new tires may be necessary at 255/35. But thats the next issue. Will a 245/35 front and a 255/35 rear set off the tire pressure alarm? Is the difference in height enough to be an issue???? im not worried at all about what Skoda recommends or if the Speedo reads 100% on the money (it reads fast from the factory like all others cars do im sure). I just want a cool stance that’s not rubbing or throwing codes. Lol.
  7. Very nice car to start with. But are you saying the wheels were all 19x8.5 or 19x 9.5. Just with different offsets ( rear being more offset than the front? Im in the process of buying some 19” Cades Apollo wheels (I think I’m set on a specific color now) and would really love to run a 19x9.5 on the rear. But I know I’m pushing the limit of these smallish wheel wells. Joe E.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I guess the car needs to see the mechanic again. Does it need to be Skoda that looks at it due to the VCDS? Or can a private shop also plug into it and get the job done? I was was confused by the result of the lights shooting upwards tho. I could understand if the shot down. Like having a large trailer load where the rear sags, causing the lights to adjust down. So I’m guessing it’s something to do w that sensor and switch on the rear suspension. What side is it located on? again, thanks for the info. Joe
  9. I just had my 12’ Superb dropped 30mm with the Eibach Pro Kit. Went in easily w no issues. Drives so much better now. But it tonight I drove for the first time in darkness. I had people flashing their lights at me etc. I checked it out and it’s obvious the Xenon lamps are shooting way too high. I tried all the different settings (dip beams, high beams, auto, etc). The lamps still go through the usual startup cycle of out and in/up and down. Nothing reads out on the dash info screen. Where res so I start? Did some google searches etc but didn’t really find a clear solution. Any ideas?
  10. Thanks both of you. Snapper, those coilovers look super cool. But we have very struck inspections here in Denmark and I doubt they would be allowed. But cool alternative! Wile7, really appreciate the feedback on the Eibach. I bit the bullet and bought from a German supplier selling on eBay. Paid a few more dollars for it, but the reviews on the website I posted above we’re very bad. People ordering 1 brand name thing and getting some off brand instead. Then no customer service when you complained. It’s ok to take that risk w brake pads etc. But not w an expensive suspension system that has to be correct. Im happy to hear you think the Eibach system is good. I have no previous experience w lowering a car. I have a mustang that lowered but very mildly and it’s a race car. I would t be lowering the Superb but the stock suspension is 3cm lower than the Skoda spec is. So my rear suspension is shot. And why not upgrade if I’m forced to use money on it. Lol. Do you you have any Picts of your before and after?
  11. How’s that B12 Eibach kit working out for you? Just bought the same for my 12’ tsi. Hoping you can give me a few tips before hand.

      It has been great. I have 40k km on them and they feel like new. I recommend getting a VAG strut tool. It's used to spread the strut clamper on the wheel bearing housing where the lower part of the strut secures. Helps with installation and removal of the old one a lot simpler, no need for a sledge hammer :D

      Many thanks for the reply. I have ordered the kit now and hope my mechanic can sort it out. It’s cold and wet here and I have no garage. So I’m not touching it. Lol. 

       

      Do you you have any before and after picts?  Or if I may ask, a measurement from the center of the wheel to the fender front and rear? I’m sitting 30-35 mm under what Skoda spec is. So I’m thinking my “drop” will not be much more than it is now w dead springs. Just drive and handle better.

  12. I’ve got sag in the rear of my B. Super irritating with 4 adults in the car. Otherwise just an inconvenience w 2 in the car. I’ve tried finding standard length springs w higher load compacity but it isn’t worked out. Been told to try the Eibach/Bilstein Pro kit with a 30mm drop and stiffer progressive springs. Will this firm up the rear end enough to have 4 adults in the car without scraping the tires in the upper fender when hitting a bump? Not worried about ride quality so much. Tried the spring spacers but it drives alittle odd afterwards. Bounce is still there. And is this the right kit?
  13. Just brainstorming about this lousy ass rear suspension I have on my Superb. I'm nervous that replacing the stock springs w standard springs will just net me in the same saggy rear end issues in a short time. I've purchased the spring spacers some of you post about here but my springs are so compressed that there was no way to get the spacers in without pulling the spring from the car. My next idea was a new set of standard coil springs w these spacers and new shocks. But what about the All road edition suspensions on the A6? They sit higher than the regular A6. Is it possible to get a set installed on a 2012 SuperB? Joe E
