Bike and box

Featured Replies

Just purchased Skoda Original roof bars for the snow monster. We tow a caravan all the way too the south of france and wondered has anyone put a roof box AND a bike on the roof? if so what roof box do you have?

Thanks

Ive used a halfords box and bike carrier on their exodus range bars with no issues on an a3 but have yet to use them on the yeti.

I had to get thule feet as halfords dont make a yeti foot but they are both made by thule so were interchangable

Just be wary of the roof load limit.  IIRC for the Yeti it's 100 kg (which is higher than the usual 75 kg for many cars) but with a bike, bike rack, roof bars, roofbox AND its contents, you could easily get above this.  Of course we know that the car can take this (helicopter landing pad demonstrated this) but your insurers and/or the police/VOSA might be interested in it should anything happen.
