Octavia Mk1 Vrs - unbranded double din dvd stereo installation

Morning, I've tried a cheeky bid on this:

as a replacement for the single din symphony. I think it'll suit the current switch gear and ergonomics quite well. The DVD function of primary interest so my kids can be entertained without feeling the need to pummel, bite, punch, scratch or spit at each other.

I read somewhere that I'll need a mounting kit from a Mk4 Golf?  Can someone confirm please? I'm in the process of studying install tutorials. There's a potential issue around being able to locate the unit flush to the fascia owing to wiring loom.
