Can the Skoda COLUMBUS logo and software be changed to VW?

Evening all!

Does anyone know if I can change the Software and Logo on my COLUMBUS unit to be used in a VW Transporter? Seems stupid to sell this and then buy a Vw RNS 510 unit!

Some people say it's possible, but I've never managed it without some sort of issue. Also, you'll still have the green button lighting from the Columbus so it'll stick out like a sore thumb at night.

I've just read a post you replied to in 2015 about changing the front facia etc, so unless someone has managed to do it since I guess it's false economy to mess with my COLUMBUS unit when I could potentially sell it and buy the VW RNS 510 unit instead for less of the same price.

I guess I've just answered my own question lol

Hi, I've got a weird powered tailgate issue on my Superb. If I press the interior button I can hear the lock release, but nothing happens after. If I press the button on the outside of the boot, the lock releases but nothing happens. If I press that button a few more times, I will eventually start rising but only to about half way. If I press the outside button again, it'll drop back down again but I have to press down on the boot to get it to do the final catch. The button on the inside o

Database is maintained by Phonostar.de and Škoda doesn't hide that but one of their answer sounded similar to . . . Hi All, I know this is a topic that seems to have been covered a million times but my vRS has become a problem child. It was losing a small amount of coolant and I would get the odd whisp of steam from the back, I diagnosed a leaking EGR Cooler (confirmed with off car pressure test) and a small water pump leak. Hi all, I have my Fabia currently fitted with the base Swing head unit. I'd like to upgrade to Bolero or Amundsen, and it's important to me to stay strictly with original skoda/VAG parts - no aftermarket Android units or third-party adapters.
