Model citizens.

 

People outside the USA easily forget that California, which has a GDP similar to the whole UK, is doing its own thing in regard to environmental  issues despite have Donald Trump and his climate change denial crew as President of the US.

 

Just a shame they do not get the Zoe in the US and that we might not get the Chevy Bolt in Europe.   

Trumpland is in a coma.  When they come out of it they'll probably not remember a thing about that period.

Or they are in a failing state.

 interesting --- however I gather as is usual in the land of the free and the brave,  the power companies conspire with the political classes to skin the domestic solar generators  by paying for exported electric at " avoided cost" calculated on coal @  a gazillion tons for $2.27cents   there is a very interesting proposed system on EVTV  what Jack Rickard calls selfish solar well worth a look

The base load generators are in deep Doo Doo out here, with more and more reducing their daily needs and the home storage cloud on the horizon also.

Renters and the less well off are going to need increasing government subsidies.
