One Word Links

Featured Replies

I think this is the right place to post, anyway, here goes.

I would like to know how to shorten web page links to the small one word or descriptive names highlighted in blue, for example turning this:

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=63

into:

One Word Links

Hope this makes sense and that someone can tell me how to do it.

1. First thing to do is type the short word - say "clicky" - wherever you want it to appear in your post.

2. Drag the cursor across the word to highlight it.

3. Select the icon that looks like a chain (called insert link) which is just above where you type your post.

4. Paste in the URL of the link in the box that pops up - I usually have it open in another window and copy it from the title bar.

Result is that http://www.briskoda.net/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=63 becomes clicky

Hope that makes sense!
