Welcome to petrol, same service intervals as diesel, you just don't have to queue up with the trucks for fuel ...lol

So 20 K between oil

Did the dealer say what the car is set to, annual or variable servicing?

If you look on the car menu on the radio it says when the next service is due.

You decide what servicing intervals you require by what miles you do, and then tell the Service Desk what you want done when and tell the Technician if you want the Service Indicator on Fixed or Variable/Flexible.

http://volkswagen.co.uk/owners/servicing/regimes

Same set up as Skoda but skoda says different Miles for some unknown reason..... Lost in Translation, CZ, German, Spanish, English UK / USA English....

?

Is Servicing up to date if you bought a Skoda Approved Used Car, because if servicing is not due or overdue it does not get done.

Even when due it might not get done.

5w 30 Full Synthetic Long Life oil VW504 00 is the Recommended Oil for Fixed & Variable Servicing and what Main Dealers will use,

unless you go to Parks Skoda then they are likely to not know their ar53 from elbow at the Service Desk, and AC or even Henrys

they will say only 5w 30 VW504 00 must be used even for Fixed Servicing because 5w 40 'Full Synthetic' VW 502 00 is only Semi Synthetic....

I'm using my existing supply of VW507.00 for topping up. It's also an acceptable grade to use for oil changes afaik.
