Epc light

Featured Replies

Recently my EPC warning light shows on, my rpm scale looks and behave a little weird and the car 'jumps' while driving, like a gear problem or something...

Also, sometimes my car just stops, the rpm scale go to 0 and the battery red light shows up. I used to fix it by turn off the car, start it again and long-press the gass pedal, moving quickly to D and everything goes well...

Somebody have a clue what could it be?

Welcome.

Maybe someone will know once you say which engine it has, i assume a petrol with a DSG or has it a Auto Box?

How old, how many miles?

Is it serviced up to date, plugs, coils etc, fuel filter etc?

Oh yeah off course:

It s a 2008 ambiente fabia, 1600 petrol engine, 105 hp. Actually i should go service by now but it seems to be serious than some casual problem and un-serviced car...

Now, any idea?

The servicing needs doing just to be sure there are no misfires, then fault codes need read to help diagnose any issues of failures.

Guessing is no use, things like connections of the ECU or earths need checked, you need a mechanic to assist.

hey davidit!

actually yes but i don't have it anymore and I barely remember what was the issue...

if im correct it was the "nock" sensor (that's the name by the car doctor) and the RPM something...

for your question, yes, you did need a mechanic.

thank you very much, I will tell my mechanic about the "nock" sensor.

if you will have any clue about the "RPM something" it will be great.

we tried to replace few sensors already and got nothing, this issue is really annoying.

thanks
