Skoda Fabia Elegance 2004- Replacing Boot lid

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a Skoda Fabia Elegance 2004 REG, I'm putting a few vrs parts on it, one of these is a complete bootlid of a 2004 VRS. The wire's on the boot I have brought have been all cut at the hinge join, rather than the whole loom pulled out. I've checked all my boot wiring on my car and they all correspond with the colour codes on the VRS boot so it should all fit and work, however if I could get around it without the job been too big I'd rather not cut the electrical connections from my boot, and I'd rather just unclip them, however I've been told the wiring is all under the roof that is an absolute pain to get at and that it would mean pulling out all the lining, and pinning it etc. Is there anyway I can reconnect this new boot without literally snipping all my old wires. My fear is if something doesn't work how I want I've got to reconnect all the cut wires again from my old boot and also I just like the idea of it been clipped in securely rather than soldered and attached with connectors that could come lose easier.

Thanks for your help.
