iPhone 7 bluetooth connectivity

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have recently brought a Skoda Octavia VRS i tried to connect my iPhone 7 to the Bluetooth for hands free use of my phone, i found my phone on the device list but when i tried to connect it i got the message that my phone wasn't compatible, I've never owned a Skoda before so i don't know if it's the stereo or a software issue. Anyone have any ideas on how to sort the connection issue out?

Thank you.

Make sure you have deleted any previously connected phones then try again. My iPhone 7 connected to my 2013 Octavia VRS so can't see why you should have any problems.

Also try restarting your phone before connecting as I did have a problem pairing with another device with the iPhone 7 until I did a restart

At a guess, it might have an rSAP only BT module fitted. If that's the case, you need to swap it for one that supports HFP and possibly have the replacement correctly coded.

I think the OEM location is under one of the front seats, possibly the drivers seat?
