Led dimming & us blink

Featured Replies

Hi, I can't find any information on this, so I'll try my luck here..
I really want to be able to drive with the fog lights + drl led stripe on max illumination. I know you can code Audi's to not dim the led stripe when using park light & fog lights. Someone told me you could with Octavia aswell.

I also want us blink, but for some reason the guy who helped me earlier could only manage to get us lights when my headlights were switched on, and not when im using park light or drl..

As you can see in the pic, the led stripe is dimmed to the point where it literally looks like Halogen..

Really, no one?...

The brightness needs to be 100% when they revert to side light mode with the fogs on. The default setting is 35% brightness.

I have my DRL brightness mode set to 60% when the dipped beam, fogs are on. You can also set the DRL's to dim when indicating, mine are set to 25% brightness " Is this what you are after ? "

"DRL Doesn’t dim on side light, but does dim on low beam - only when ignition is on (returns to normal when ign off)

(4)-Daytime running lights-Parking light activates additionally daytime running lights from not active to Active"

Is this the correct method to do this? Or where did you find it?

I dont care for dimming when indicating, I just dont want the led stripe looking like Halogen, or barely visible in daylight when combined with fog lights :P

Wouldn’t you be better setting your fog lights as ADDITIONAL daytime running lights?

that way they are always on full brightness in the day and when you switch the lights on they all dim / go out respectively?

on a side note I have tried something similar before and what bugged me was the colour difference - you will never get them to match 100%.

Also be aware that your aftermarket LED Fog light bulbs will most likely not last long term if you have them as DRL at full brightness - they don’t have adequate heat sinks.  The heat will slowly kill the LED’s.
