VW Connect and Skoda Connect

VW Connect and Skoda Connect seem very different animals.  VW Connect, with a free dealer-provided data plug looks pretty useful - does anyone have any inside information as to if/when this is coming to Skoda?

Presumably the plug would also fit Skoda's?

Isn't all that information currently available in the maxidot?

I get these to my iPads Skoda app mileage covered. Or automatically know when your car is due its next service or how much fuel you have left.
