Skoda Fabia Classic Question Regarding speakers

Featured Replies

Hiya there,

Bought a 04 plate skoda fabia 1.4 TDi with plus pack about a week ago and finally got to drive it home on Monday.

Just got a small question regarding the speakers in the classic. The manual says x4 speakers. Now there are two door speakers in the front, and two small speakers next to the wing mirrors. The back doors have grills near the handles and at each side of the parcel shelf there are grills, but I am unable to see if there are any speakers in there.

When I set the fader on the standard "skoda auto symphony" cd player to centered or rear, no sound is emitted from the back, and Im not sure if its because there actually arent any speakers in the back, or if the head unit is just crap and doesnt power the back speakers.

Can anyone advise me further as to what to do? Im not very technically minded when it comes to installing speakers and head units, so if I need to add speakers to the back, I will probably get a local company to do it for me.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

PS. Afer owning a punto, im loving my fabia :)

The Classic doesnt have any rear speakers or the wiring for them. The speakers are normally mounted in the back either side of the parcel shelf on spec that has them.

poo :( probably wont bother having speakers fitted to the rear doors, but will probably have 1 put either side of the parcel shelf, cant stand just having sound in the front.

Thanks for your help!
