skoda octavia 2, yellow steering wheel light on dash

Featured Replies

Hi all, im wondering if anyone could help me, i have recently bought a skoda octavia tdi II , i have changed the wheel bearing on rear left but to get the caliper off i used an ark welder to get some heat into the spline bolts whitch were locked, its all i had, so i had to remove battery, after refit the steering wheel light is on yellow, ive tried lock to lock then drive in straight line but is still on, any help would be much appreciated

How far have you driven as it will normally go out after a short drive after a battery disconnection?

Sorry for the delay new to this site, I've drove about 30 miles today light is still on

Probably worth getting it scanned with VCDS to see if that helps :)

Just what I didn't want to read as mines going in to replace the OSR bearing hub tomorrow, Monday.

You should be fine as i only disconnected the battery to use the welder so not to fry the ecu, if i had acetylene i would of been fine, ive read its common after battery disconnect
