Not being completely mechanically minded, but pick things up once shown,how easy is it to replace a complete wing mirror unit on an Octavia Mk2 08 plate. I managed to catch mine today and it sheared away? seems the actual connecting bolt housing snapped off the rear of the wing mirror.

I can get a complete wing mirror for about £60,00 of the internet, unsprayed.

Any ideas, guidance greatfully received.

Should be pretty easy.

 

Remove the door card and you'll be able to remove any broken bits and unplug the electronics.

 

Assuming it hasn't damaged anything else, simply attach the new one, plug in the electronics, check it works and refit the door card

I’ll give it a go Langers2K, how easy is it to get door card off? Tried looking on you tube, nothing available ?
