Octavia TSi intake flaps.

Featured Replies

My intake manifold runner flaps have come up  faulty on my car i know that it will need a new manifold. I have seen that you can remove the flaps completely which is another option i am thinking of. has anyone removed there flaps out there intake manifold if so does the car drive any differently? i don't want to loose the comfort of the drive or the low down torque. When the flaps have been removed can you just code the flaps out using Vag Com if so how? or does it have to be done by a mapping specialist as my car is already on a stage 1 map.

Also i have seen that VW gave an extended warranty on this fault and replace the intake manifolds free have Skoda extended their warranty on the manifolds if so where can i find this information.

Thanks Thomas
