Check the wiring to the drivers door, you'll probably find a fault in the rubber between the door and car body.

Normal airbag precautions apply, battery out etc...

Pre-facelift only...

Sorry what does that mean?

There are two variants of the MK2 Octavia as it had a facelift in ~2009.

They are commonly referred to as a pre-fl and fl (pre-facelift and facelift) :)

Have you inspected the wiring yet?

Hi i have just popped the rubber off between the door and the main car and found a yellow plug with  yellow lead that is broken so i think i have found the fault. the main question is how do i pop the plug out of the main car body with out forcing it and making it worse?
