Octavia vrs - iPod touch

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I'm new to the forum and the Skoda range. Bought myself a mk2 2011 Octavia vrs on a Friday, having great fun with it so far.

Just having a minor issue with connecting my iPod touch. I found a USB plug in the glove box and I've used my iPod cable to connect this to my iPod to no avail. I get an message on the iPod saying something along the like of "incompatible  accessory ...." (don't quote me in that) I tired my iPhone too, same message come up.

Aside fro this I've also tired the Aux cable in the iPhone and iPod. Nothing happens.

I've done a quick search online (that's actually how I found you guys) and I haven't really got a firm answer.

Then tonight I did a search in Amazon for "Skoda MDI iPod cable" and found a MDI cable with a iPod/iPhone connector and aux cable together. Would this solve my problem?

Also the older style iPod connector cables dont seems to have an aux attachement. Any reason why?

Sorry for the long first post! I expect this has been covered many times before. Hope someone can help!

Oh oh forgot to add this is on a Columbus system, if that helps!
