My fuel filter is leaking from the metal piping coming out of the top.

 

Is this a common problem?

 

if I replace the filter housing, which is dead easy, what should I re-connect the hoses with? jubilee clips? or should I go for some fancy braided fuel hoses?

When my engine was replaced the garage had replace one the braided connections with a small jubilee clip on fuel filter housing.

Since than had no problems.

just wasn't sure about the pressures involved in the PD fuel lines. sounds like off with the old and on with a less old2nd hand filter housing then. fkg new ones are £235!!!!

 

how ever braided look sexier.
