Featured Replies

Been invited to a dealer night for the Karoq on Saturday 13th Jan.

Meant to add. Has anyone else had invites because I presume they are going out for the dealer launch.

I wouldn't get too excited

my guess is that there will be some snacks and Karoq to look at.

Had an invite from my local dealer, but they branded it the SUV event with the Karoq and Kodiaq

They are providing a hog roast, micro brewery and a live band. So I am taking the wife while she decides between the Mokka, Qashqai, Arona or the Karoq.

Rainworth Skoda is the 11th I think

As usual I won't be attending

Don't care how exclusive my invite is or how good the special offers on the night will be

It's all a con

Never been to one of these events but I buy cars when i want to and not when the dealer thinks "its a good time"

"Of course it is a con."  It is advertising just like any other product doesn't mean you have to buy it, it is simply an event laid on on by the seller  to show off a new product, something thousands of manufacturers and retailers do throughout the year.

if you are foolish enough to be sucked in with the offer of an extra £500 on the night only and buy then so be it but 99% of people are not.

Does anyone expect the retailer (any type of retailer) to announce a product with a whimper.

People buy cars either on a whim or in a considered manner, this includes perhaps PCP etc. I did buy my last car in a considered way as I will my wife's car (Mokka, Arona, Qashqai or Karoq) the new year and my next one once the hybrid has been out a while.

Fully aware it's all a ploy just annoys me how the mkae it sound exclusive and hook poor sucker's in

Another trick they used to try at vauxhall when I was in the parts side the salesman would ring up a previous sales customer stating they have a customer looking for what ever car the person was driving and could they nip down for a fee valuation and as a gesture they will give another £500-1000 trade in

We're going to have a look with a test drive as well I hope. Timing is good for us but we have too many options to consider to make any decision there and then.

I've been thinking of changing my superb as it's 2 years old in march hoping that the karoq will be better for me. And if a dealer  want's give me some extra cash of it that's fine by me
