Football sized dent in rear bumper!

Featured Replies

Christmas day nightmare for me as I reversed out of my driveway and backed into a parked car  :dull:

Damage to my black fabia is a football sized dent to the right hand side of the bumper. Been advised by some that it could be sucked out with use of heat and a plunger like on the Youtube vids.

Anyone have experience of this? I'm not too confident about it. Looks like the bumper is made of plastic and no paintwork damage.

My stepson used boiling water to pop a dent out of the bumper in an Astra, whilst not 100% perfect as the paint was already damaged, it was much better.

He pushed the dent out from behind the bumper though.

Get a couple of opinions / quotes from professionals that do this as a job first, and if they go whooo ahhh etc then try yourself, because you will be doing no more damage than already there.

If the go, no probs, easy peasy, £30 please, then maybe let them do it.

@elah1940 - Given the present weather I'd suggest living with it until things are a bit warmer, then calling someone like Chips Away and offer to e-mail their agent a photo.

^^^ Or even Dents Away.
