Yeti 1.2 tsi dsg clutch judder

Featured Replies

Hi,

clutch on my yeti has been juddering when pulling away and whilst accelerating and changing up on gears 4,5 & 6.

finally had this diagnosed by scoda as needing dual clutch pack and quote of £1,500 plus £50 ish for shims.

was expecting it to be around £1200. Anyone had a non skoda dual clutch fitted and if so which supplier and part as I have had quotes of around £700 and I'm wondering if the skoda option is really worth paying twice as much.  My yeti is 2012 and has done 48k,

thanks very much

Welcome.

Was your DQ200 DSG ever in for the Service Campaign '34F7' to have the Synthetic Oil changed to mineral, and a software update.

There should be a sticker in the Spare Tyre well showing if it was done.

Plenty needed Clutch Packs fitted in the vehicles from the introduction of the DQ200 because of rather poor components of some,

as Skoda UK well knows.

Maybe see about help from Skoda UK even though a 5-6 year old car.

?

Who were you thinking on having do the repairs?

Less than 80,000 kms !

No wonder Honda, Toyota etc won’t go there.

Thanks Awaoffski, there are 3 clutch repair specialists within 20 miles who have quoted just under £700, with 12 months warranty, I haven't made a decision which one to ask to do the work as yet.  I will ask Skoda if it is possible to get some help and I will check to see if the oil and software update was done.  My dad had the car for two years, he would have had it done as he bought it new.

Will let you know how I get on

thanks again
