Hi when starting my car today mk2 octavia 2.0tdi dsg,the car started bleeping and dials flickered and dash lights on with gears flashing and it wont move out of Park when brake pedal pressed and the asr button would work the day before if any help please urgently as i need my car for everything with been an amputee.

Thanks.

I have been told that it could be the gearbox that needs replacing,is this true please
