Driver's window

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've now got an issue with my Fabia's driver window.

It doesn't work, whatsoever; the other 3 are fine. It doesn't stutter or anything, fuses are fine obviously; doesn't even work on the key.

Any ideas how I go about testing the motor/switch?

Cheers

There's a good chance it's the wiring that goes from the door to the body :), open the door and pop the rubber off to see the wires, you'll soon see if any are broken.

Thanks,

Apologies for lateness of reply.

I'm hoping to get it diagnosed on my next set of days off.

Got a little embarrassing on the Severn bridge earlier this week! I got too close to the payment machine to open the door, forgetting the window didn't open!!

No broken wires. But strangely all windows work whilst the engine is off, with ignition on, apart from the driver.

So far so confusing right?

Then when engine is on, none of the windows work. A VCDS scan shows no fault codes.
