Wheel Offset sizes?

Featured Replies

Hi there

Anyone know if I can fit a set of Superb wheels with a ET45 offset from a 2005 Superb, to replace ET50 offset wheels on my 2013 Superb?

Thanks

I have a pair of 17" alloys with ET45 offset which came from a 2004 SEAT. I use them as winter wheels on the front of my 2014 Superb. The regular 18" wheels for my model have an ET49 offset so the winters sit very slightly further out in the arch - all of 4 mm - but the winter tyres are very slightly narrower (215 vs 225) so the difference is undetectable.

Depends on tire size. Your 2013 S2 has ET45 as default for 16". Only if you have 17 or 18", than ET around 50 is the default value.

Not quite. 6J x 16 is ET50, 7J x 16 is ET45. More info here:

I know that, but 6Jx16 were never fitted by the factory, and can only be bought as after-marked rims for winter wheels. So not so important. All factory-fit 16" wheels were ET45.
