Dog Grill in Boot

Has anyone fitted a dog guard behind the rear seats of their Karoq yet? What model did you go for? How does it fit? Anyone got photos to share?

I see in the accessories brochure (http://www.skoda.co.uk/SiteCollectionImages/Models/downloads/Karoq-Accessories-Brochure.pdf) that Skoda offer one. Dog Guard/Luggage Restraint ŠKODA Genuine Accessories Varioflex (57A017221A) For fixed seats (57A 017 221) and that does not seem too pricey. Just wondering if it is any good......

Hi

I brought a cheap one from Argos, Sakura mesh dog guard that clamps to the rear headrests. It seems to do the job. I have put the rear seats more upright. I did put a bit of protection against part of the Seat where the frame touched just to be sure it didn’t mark the seat.

It cost £26.99

visability not to bad either.

I have a 18 month old Labradoodle, she has made no attempt to get past it.

Dont forget to disable your interior alarm sensors and auto window close if you are going to leave your dog in there if your in the garage paying for fuel.

I don't! It's been an issue for the past 20 odd years on various cars I've had. Good tip though for anyone who hasn't had intruder alarms on their car before.

At least it's easy on VAG cars, on a previous X-Trail you had to turn the ignition on/off 3 times and lock the car within 5 seconds (while standing on one leg, praying to the gods of Nissan mountain to be benevolent)

I have one on order to be fitted when I get my karoq hopefully in the next 2 weeks as part of the pdi, I think it screws into the c pillars and you get caps to put in the threaded holes when not in use, a lot stronger than a lot of other types without worry to seat damage, if you can wait I will post pics when it’s eventually done. Thanks for the tip on portable dog showers didn’t know they existed, and the scrub by the way.

Can you not just double press your locking button on the key fob to disarm the interior sensors, also does the windows only close if you hold the button in the same as my Leon? If you disable them in the infotainment do they stay off or reset to on when you next switch on the ignition?

I can wait, my car is actually on its way now, but doubt I'll get it before you get yours. Do you mind telling us how much fitted?

No problem on the tips, we occasionally have a professional dog walker take ours out if we cannot and she has a shower in her HR-V. A friend of mine came up with the hibiscrub idea.

I actually negotiated it at a special price when we ordered the car!
