Samsung galaxy S9 pairing compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Skoda superb Mark 2 with Columbus system. I have just bought a Samsung S9 but the car cannot find it when searched  any suggestions for phone settings or Columbus settings?

Thanks

Try looking in the phone's bluetooth settings to ensure its "Discoverable".  You sometimes have to tick a box to make it available.

Also - how are you trying to set it up?  I used the car's dashboard trip computer and chose the "New User" for my iPhone 7 and my wifes Samsung S7 Edge.

Bluetooth is bluetooth... it's a standard so there should be no issue with at least basic calling features.

If you get stuck, post a screenshot of your bluetooth settings and the car are you are looking and myself or another member may be able to assist further.

What year is your Superb?  I have a 2015 mark 2 and its been great with bluetooth etc.  Samsungs tend to give you features like reading texts out etc as well (that my iPhone doesn't do!)

Hi

Thank you for your suggestions. I messed around with a few buttons on the phone and car and it has worked!

I think I'd tried to connect them in the wrong order.  You are right it does appear to have more features than my iPhone ever did.  Result thanks again!
