I’m looking to fit a nextbase 412GW dashcam to my 18 L&K and want to hard wire it in. 

The hard wire kit looks like it uses a piggyback fuse holder and suggests you use a 5Amp slot on the ignition side. 

Anyone done this and can suggest the best fuse slot to use. I’m thinking canbus May be a consideration here?

Correction

I think there's a thread on here about dashcams.

 

I piggy backed on the blind spot detection fuse. Check manual for location.

and I can confirm that it is very comprehensive. On my L&K I fitted the Nextbase riser connector to the red 10 amp fuse on this picture. That fuse is iginition switched and the riser does not catch the relays on either side. The 15amp one will also work but I couldn't get the fuse riser to sit fully in the socket.
