Multimedia Bracket (Cellphone holder)

Featured Replies

Here is a weird one...............I bought one of these from a local Škoda parts supplier and found that it does not fit in the cup holder pockets straight.

This is the type with phone slot, keyless start key slot and two coin slots.

Viewing utube vids I see that the ones fitted in the car as standard equipment do fit straight as they are a mirror image of the one I have.

Thinking that the local supplier may have ordered incorrectly, I checked on the Superskoda  website only to find that the ones they sell are the same as The one I have which begs the question, why are there two versions but apparently only the ill fitting one available as an aftermarket item?

If it is the one that looks like this then with my Fabia III it fits in straight.

Although with the Fabia III it fits horizontal or side to side, unlike in the above photo.

But it only fits in the bigger cup holder hole in front of the gear lever.

Thanks AG Falco.

It is like that; what year is your Fabia..............mine was built 20 Sept, 2017 ?

Would you mind checking if yours is exactly like the pic as the ones I have seen on utube have the coin slots swapped with the 'key hole'

Thanks, Brian

Right, well I have solved the problem, the item supplied as 'for Fabia' and also shown on the superskoda website  is actually for an Octavia.

The correct Fabia part number is 6V0 051 435 and this does have the coin slots and the key recess transposed, relative to the Octavia one.

I have contacted my supplier to see if they can source the correct one for me.

Hopefully, this may stop someone else falling into the same trap.

cheers,

Brian
